Larval host for the Mourning Cloak and Viceroy.

Habitat: Well-drained, sandy soils. Drought tolerant and can thrive in flooded areas. Full sun to part shade.
Growth: 7 ft wide, 10 ft tall at maturity. Will spread into dense thickets.
